Gannett Digital Hires New National Sales Head, Andy Jacobson. Congrats to Andy and hey, Andy, if you read this, I’m sorry I so opportunistically took your 19″ black micron monitor when you left DoubleClick. Andy was my officemate and I was sorry to see him go, but wasted no time in grabbing his huge monitor. I had that thing for years, before flat screens became standard issue. For that Andy, I’ll always remember you fondly 
Alley Insider took a stab at trying to nail down the “Who’s Who in Google NY,” which, nicely, includes a number of ex-DoubleClickers, namely Brad Bender and Ari Paparo. However, they characterized Ari as “liked, but not respected.” Dang, I respect him and like him.. quite a bit. They acknowledge Ari’s vast experience and expertise, and his boss, Neal, is in MTV and respects him, so who do they think doesn’t? Eric Schmidt!?
And it’s adorable that Bigler rushed to his defense (check out the comments below the post) — I’ll be watching to see if Ari’s mom or wife also chimes in.
I knew it was coming, the demo is underway, as a new build-out begins. Lots of memories..
